Type of tournament

Group matches (preliminary rounds) and ranking matches in a knock-out system for each competition.

Categories and divisions

We will have a men's and women's division, each with a 1st division and a 2nd division category. You can subscribe for only one division (either men OR women) and for only one category (either beginner OR first class).

Anticipated number of participants

500

Schedule

Timespan: at least 4 days, may be extended to 5 days.

The competition will take place from Monday to Friday 5 to 9 August.
The time of play each day will be from 09:00 h to approximately 17:00 or 18:00 h. More detailed scheduling depends on the number of teams and will follow soon.

Event conditions

- We plan to have each team play at least 5 matches (4 matches in the preliminary round and at least one consolidation match)

- You have to bring your own equipment with you. Caution: there is one field with synthetic grass, so be sure you have adapted footwear with you to play on that field. If your shoes do not correspond to the synthetic field, you won’t be able to play on it!

- We will provide some balls for the warming-up and for playing the games, but don’t hesitate to bring your own balls with you if you wish! Just mark them, so they’re easily recognizable as your own.

- The men in the 1st and 2nd division play 11-11, women play 7-7. The duration of the matches will be 2 x 30 minutes (10 minutes rest) for the men, and 2 x 20 minutes (10 minutes rest) for the women.

- We will host a 7-7 competition for men too. This will be one open competition (so no 1st or 2nd division classifications) and will be held only if at least 6 teams subscribe for it. Please note that the organization claims the right to merge two teams into one normal team or to add individual players to your team so you can play 11-11. This decision can even be taken on the day itself, so we want to inform you in advance of this possibility.

What is soccer?

The most popular game on earth is soccer. Everyone knows it, everyone plays it in every country. On a wide field (at least 50 m x 100 m) with a goal on each side, you have to try to score more points than your opponent, according to the rules. A good condition, a wide range of technique and a solid body are necessary to play this game. A must see and a must do for every (soccer)fan and be sure: the emotions will rise on the field during the worldOutgames!
